‘solution conscious’ approach

A ‘solution conscious’ approach to communication, problem solving and creativity would therefore follow the pattern:
1/ Identify the problem.
2/ Be aware of it but do not over-analyse it, do not focus on it.
3/ Know what you want to achieve - your positive vision of the future: how things would be without this problem?
4/ Imagine and precisely describe this ‘ideal’ state.
5/ Compare your present situation with this desired future state: What is missing between the two? Ask yourself the question: How did we reach there? What did we do to achieve this ‘perfect’ state? Brainstorm it.
6/ Identify precisely what you need to do to reach that state.
7/ Look around you - your assets, your skills, your relationships, your personal experience and knowledge - to find what you can use to do it and write an action plan with SMART goals. SMART goals are Specific , Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time bounded.
